Tell us about the highlight of your career so far…
My career highlight has to be starting Framework Design. I knew it would take a lot of work, late nights and no holidays but it’s been worth it. I get to do what I love every day and get to work closely with our clients. It’s all I’ve ever wanted! (sniff). I’m also proud to say, I am a judge for the CSS Design Awards and the Webbies. I’ve also given talks at Nottingham Trent Uni and Birmingham Uni to students who’d like to pursue a career in digital.

What was your career history before Framework and how did Framework begin?
I’ve worked in large reputable agencies at both regional and international level, working up the career ladder to Account Director. My career has seen me work across key areas including digital marketing, brand and tech, this gives me the advantage when sitting in front of prospective clients. I know what clients need and want, and more importantly, how to make it happen!

We started Framework Design in 2015 with one client, two computers and a pretty temperamental coffee machine. Zoom ahead to today, we have over 100 clients – both UK and international, a team of 25, a dog and three temperamental coffee machines.

We aim to continue to grow the agency into a national brand, and be recognised for our quality of work. We are already changing the way our clients think about what digital design can do for growth in business, but I want more ‘moments of wonder’ in everything we do… including bringing more clients to tears when unveiling their new websites (yes, this happens).

What are your favourite things to do in your time away from the office?
My downtime away from the office is precious. I am the master of tickle fights, making up silly rap songs and putting things in the loft out of the way.

My partner Kirsty, my two daughters and my stepson are regularly treated to my singing and Dad dancing, and I feel this brings us closer together as a family. Which is why I’ll never stop…!

I am a big movie buff. Ask me anything. I own an absurdly large TV which screens assorted viewings from Chelsea FC, Peppa Pig and Marvel. I’m also a gamer but I no longer get to spend entire weekends online, since having kids… I am definitely AFK, for now.

Can you give us a fun fact about you?
I have lived all over the world including Australia, Hong Kong and Germany and was actually living in Berlin when the Berlin wall was pulled down – which was an incredible piece of history to be part of!
