I studied Sport Science at Bournemouth University and spent my placement year working at AFC Bournemouth for a season, where I even got the chance to meet a few of the players (sadly, my football career didn’t take off from there). During the Covid pandemic I picked up programming as something I could do from the comfort of my locked down home, which quickly turned into a genuine passion. After getting my first role in development and learning the ropes, I joined Framework to keep pushing myself and see how far I could take it.
One of the best things about web development is that you never stop learning – there’s always a new problem to solve or something new to figure out. In my previous role as a junior developer, I was trusted with rebuilding the company’s entire website on my own. It was a big project packed with animations and interactions, and while it definitely kept me on my toes, seeing it go live was a really proud moment.
I’m mainly a frontend developer, but I’d love to go deeper into backend development and become someone who can build full websites and applications from start to finish. Something people can genuinely use rather than just something nice to look at!
Outside of work, I still end up coding – usually on hobby projects that let me experiment, learn, and occasionally build something cool. When I’m not behind a screen, I try to stay active. I’ve recently completed a couple of half marathons and I’m now working towards a full marathon. I also enjoy weight training, hiking, going to gigs, and slowly learning the guitar (progress is… steady). During football season, you’ll usually find me at the Kassam Stadium supporting Oxford United through thick and thin – mostly thin, if we’re being honest.
Take a look at our work.
